CASE HISTORY

Women Gala Night

The enjoyment of everyone present, on the one hand, and the achievement of a specific goal that goes well beyond the event, on the other. These are the two fronts of the challenge of organising a successful charity event. Two fronts that require even more careful planning of the “agenda”, providing a series of engaging activities that are also aimed at reaping as many “fruits” as possible.
However, in addition to the purely organisational aspect, there’s another factor that needs to be managed in a particular way on these occasions: communication. The dissemination of the message, the use of the most suitable tools with which to do so and amplify its reach as far as possible, the attention both before and after the event in providing feedback on what has been collected and another round of thanks for the shared experience, are all necessary aspects that represent the difference between an event that simply “went well” and one that remains in the minds and hearts of all those who participated for a long time.
The response from almost 100 women who participated enthusiastically in the Women Gala Night left no doubt that the organisation hit the mark, managing to combine elegance and enjoyment when involving those present and maximising support for an association that helps children and families facing difficulties in the Ticino area.
The evening, which opened with a speech by the mayor of Lugano, involved all those present in a programme packed with events: a workshop on the “Language of femininity”, held by expert costume designers from the RSI; a charity lottery; a live performance by Fabrizio Vendramin, who honoured the cause by painting a beautiful portrait of Audrey Hepburn live, which was then auctioned amidst the general enthusiasm and won by a lady in the room. At the end of the evening, there was dancing for everyone.

BRIEF: Fun and light-heartedness, combined with social commitment for a good cause. These were the ingredients for an unforgettable gala evening.

CHALLENGE: To actively involve all those present by coming up with a rich, yet relaxing, busy, yet enjoyable, programme of activities, to best support an association actively engaged in the area. The whole aspect of communication, both before and after the event, played a decisive role, which was by no account a foregone conclusion.
